Property Negotiator: Sociable role, friendly team, competitive pay

The Position:
We’re looking for a full-time property negotiator to join our team. As a property negotiator, you will be required to arrange, meet and greet prospective tenants on property viewings, update landlords on progress and attend various student and property exhibitions.

Being a property negotiator is a sociable role that requires you to travel and meet new people. You will be the face of the company in introducing prospective tenants and potentially, to their new home. As a front facing role, communication is important between our customers (tenants) and clients (landlords).

You must have a valid drivers license and preferably 1 years lettings experience, or an equivalent customer service role. Salary is £17,000 per year (depending on experience), with the opportunity for a pay rise following Propertymark qualification – the foremost professional regulatory body for the lettings industry.

  • 20 days paid holiday, plus bank holidays.
  • Pay rise (following Propertymark qualification).

Propertymark Training:
This allows you to gain knowledge in the key areas related to residential letting and property management and is a requirement for Membership of Propertymark – which Leydon Lettings is a proud member of.

The qualification we will help you to gain and give you a pay rise for is:

  • NFoPP Level 3 Technical Award in Residential Letting & Property Management

This qualification is a Level 3 qualification within the National Qualifications Framework, which means it is broadly equivalent to A-Level standard.

The Location:
Leydon Lettings is based in Canterbury, Kent. A historic cathedral city, with cobbled streets, timber-framed houses and over 40,000 students!

You’ll be working from our Castle Street office primarily.

We’re 2 minutes from the town centre (including Whitefriars shopping centre) and 5 minutes from Canterbury East railway station and bus station. We are also a stones throw away from the beautiful Dane John Gardens and the historic Canterbury Norman Castle.
