Statutory Periodic Tenancy

  • An AST with an initial fixed term not renewed at the end of the fixed term automatically reverts to a Statutory Periodic Tenancy creating a new tenancy agreement.
  • The same tenants, in the same house, with the same tenancy agreement, is deemed to be a new tenancy!

  • This is not to be confused with an Assured Periodic Tenancy.
